Hi,
I am not sure this is the right place to ask on GM iOS4, if not please advise.

Ok, here is my silly question.
I would like to upgrade Gold Master iOS4 to mine 3GS right now and when it released the official firmware for public on 21st June, would I have any problem to upgrade from GM version?

Thanks.

No, it will just be a standard upgrade, if they decide not to make any changes you will technically be running the final version now.

Depends on if they have to fix bugs...etc.

The GM thats out now will be the same thing as whats going to be released to the public on launch day.
There's no need to upgrade your phone again or restore.
GM is the final product, no revisions after that.

It is the final build, the public date is when itunes will push it out. So if you have it now you are just a few days earlier than the rest.

Thanks for the replied.

I got the GM version from internet where it said GM version doesn't need UDID registration and it works on every iphone models.

This GM ipsw file I got here is missing iBook app, there is y I wondering if I have problem to upgrade/restore public version of iOS4 on 21st June.

iBooks is not part of iOS 4. It will be in App Store for download later this month.

Where is the dictionary in iOS4? There were reports that there was one in the betas, but I can't seem to find it.

out of interest i tried installing IOS4 GM on my 3GS through windows (and therefore itunes 9.1.1) it got through the apple approval for install and then failed as it started to sent it to the phone. It then left the iphone in the "connect to itunes" mode and i had to do a restore back to 3.1.3.
