GM possibly different from final release

Somehow I think that the final release will be different. Like c'mon it has to be right? I'm done complaining about how the transitions are slow. But I think what I'm going to do is go back to 6.1.4 on my iPhone 5 just before they release the final version and then upgrade from there to see if there is any difference! Who's with me lol

I doubt there will be any difference but they may release an update soon after to address any remaining issues.
 
It can't be any different since the GM is already installed in tons of iPhone 5C and 5S phones. There might be a quick 7.0.1 update that might come out or something like that, but that's really the only possibility.
 
I'm gonna try restoring via DFU to see if that makes a difference with animation speed. I doubt it thought but I'm always one for troubleshooting

It won't make a difference as animation speeds are that way by design, so they will be like that in iOS 7 no matter what (unless/until Apple changes that in some update if they decide to for some reason, or a jailbreak tweak is used to change that).

Actually, I did this and got much better results. Animations are much more smooth and phone is a bit faster overall. Recommended.
 
My phone felt a little sluggish until I did a "Reset all settings". It's running a lot better now.

If you upgraded to GM you might want to do this. You'll have to reconfigure everything but it cleans out any old rubbish in the phone's basic configuration so it may help.

Just noticed this when I close my messages
App! I hope this happens to you guys and it's not just my phone because I got some water in it 2 days ago! Let it dry in rice for a day and it seemed fine. Really hope it's not an LCD glitch on my part!

It happens really quick .. Look at the messages app when you close it!

A few years back they did release a couple of GMs due to some major bug (I think it was wifi or something like that around the time of the 4 I believe, but could be mistaken).

Did that. So your transitions aren't slower? I find that everything else is great other than that and the task killer .. Some glitches there too.

I think it's just part of the new animation. It happens to me but it's very brief.
 
I did a totally fresh ispw install from new, and the animations are stupidly slower.

I'm guessing they will be lightning fast on the 5S though or something ridiculous.

GM we got is what is in all the devices being deployed now and will be showing up in customer hands next week. They were loaded weeks ago onto the 5c/5s before shipping.

If there was going to be another GM like they did before, it would already be out.

Hope for a quick 7.x.x
 
iOS7.0 will be 100% the GM, no doubt about it - it is what is installed in all the 5S and 5Cs...

There may be a revision, but anyone with the GM installed will be able to upgrade to 7.0.1 with no hassle, and as if they downloaded it day one

Curious - what is that little note pad in the bottom right corner? Seen it in a lot of screenshots
