GM is final. So, no.

I agree iOS 7 for the iPad is not on par with the iPhone versions, but it is (finally) actually usable and stable. I highly doubt however that Apple is going to ship the new iPads with unpolished software, so I think Apple is just going to release iOS 7.0 to avoid fragmentation and release iOS 7.(0.)1 somewhere in October that is further optimized for the iPad.Perhaps not...7.0.1 could be released to the masses instead of the GM version. New devices will then have to be updated to 7.0.1 when opened and activated.
To release this GM for the iPad is disgraceful!

nope, there was a public fw that was fixed after a GM and was not 0.1![]()
Close, but wrong...
GM we got is what is in all the devices being deployed now and will be showing up in customer hands next week. They were loaded weeks ago onto the 5c/5s before shipping.
If there was going to be another GM like they did before, it would already be out.
Hope for a quick 7.x.x
You're correct, but they released a new GM which ended up being the public release. Regardless of how many they release, the GM still ends up being the public release.
Unless some major bug needs fixed, this is it until new iPads come out.It can't be any different since the GM is already installed in tons of iPhone 5C and 5S phones. There might be a quick 7.0.1 update that might come out or something like that, but that's really the only possibility.
maybe better
18/9 gm-final
19/9 7.0.1
If something needs to get fixed and released it will still be a new update that will be available for those that have the GM, so it's not like those with the GM will somehow not have the latest released build as they could update to it if/when one is released.Unless some major bug needs fixed, this is it until new iPads come out.
...iPads won't get iOS 7.0. A new build will be released for new iPads when they are available, and, at that time, they will likely get iOS 7.0.1...perhaps this will also be a minor glitch/bug-fix update for iPhones as well.
