Gmail: 1 more step to delete?

Before iOS7 it was easier for me to delete an email, but in iOS7 I must "move" then "trash" it. And the "delete" function changed to "archive"

Can I change it back to how it worked before iOS7?

Go into the mail settings and turn "archive" off.
