Gmail accounts

If this has been asked before, accept my apologies. For some reason I cannot add a gmail account completely, everything except mail and notes are ticked after adding.

Note this is with Google apps for business account

Should an account added to your iPhone not be added automatically to your Mac?

I added the account to my iPhone and iPad both work, it's just OS X being silly
