not that I'm ungrateful but sending some of this free storage to picasaweb would be nice too.

Oh and still no imap on my account yet. :-(

Honestly, I've hated Gmail since day one. ...I'm still using AOL, which has always had IMAP. ;)

HahahAHAHA. *continues laughing hysterically for several minutes*

...you don't seriously believe that, do you? Since the very beginning AOL's entire system was sealed up tighter than a clam. That was the primary reason I fled it like the plague. They only added IMAP in the last year or two.

That, and I hate getting emails from people that have ads for AOL or whatever at the bottom. Makes me want to beat them. Severely.

Yahoo! does that **** too. At least it's at the bottom, and not a banner ad or anything. Still, ugh.

I've also noticed that the adds in the gmail website are A LOT less in your face than in yahoo .... it actually gives you room to view emails. (and its cool how the adds reflect stuff from your conversation)

Yeah I can get past ads when looking at my own email in a web interface. What I can't forgive is when people *send* me an advertisement in every fracking message. I'm like..."Hello? Do you realize you're advertising for them by spamming everybody you email???" How inconsiderate to the recipients.

I think Gmail adding IMAP support makes them the best email provider out there...
great spam filter, free, pop, imap, huge storage (that is rumored to even get bigger)...

Thank you Google, I can finally mark those thousands of emails as "read".

I don't understand why it took them this long, but I'm just happy to have IMAP once more. Now if I can just get Google to stop reading my email...

I use Google Apps on a half dozen domains and I don't have it yet, but it is coming this week along with the rest of the GMail accounts. My regular GMail accounts don't have it yet either, for that matter. We just need to wait a few more days. But Apps is getting it at the same time.

As for storage, in January '08 both Apps accounts and regular GMail accounts will be upgraded to 6GB of storage, and from that point on Apps accounts will keep pace with regular GMail accounts. We will no longer be stuck at a lower storage limit.
Very cool - thanks for the info on this. Yummmmm - 6GB of Google Apps goodness! Can't wait for this to come true.

IMAP just showed up on my plain GMail account, the one I use for junk, within the last two hours. Still nothing on my Apps accounts, which is where I really want it...

EDIT: Just showed up in my Apps accounts!!!!!
