Gmail asks every time for login

When I exit Gmail app and start it again it asks login info every time, it doesn't save it. I've problem on iPhone 4 and 4S (iOS 5.1.1).

I hate gmail. Its so confusing the way they have the replies and archives and all that bs set up. Yahoo is much simpler.

IF all else fails just use gmail in the mail app and set it up as an exchange account.

I got new iPhone 4S yesterday and noticed this problem so I logout on another iPhone 4 and logged in again to see if problem is only at my phone but it isn't. I set up Gmail in Mail App but I like Gmail app.

Did you check things like Cookie settings? I think you have to accept cookies for gmail to remember you're logged in.

I've cleared cookies and data for Safari and now I have option 'Stay signed in'.

Replies and archives aren't that confusing to me, maybe you just get confused too easy.
