GMAIL......HELP!!

Hi,

I have a Mac running Sierra. I am in safari and i go to gmail.com. they i go to settings, then accounts and import. I click it and follow the prompts to enter my iCloud mail. then I get asked to enter the password and all of a sudden it tells me "Could not validate this combination of email address and password. "

My iCloud account works fine.. I'm not sure what is messed up.

Do you have two factor on your iCloud account? If so you need to get an app specific password. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204397
