Gmail in Chrome stopped working

Chrome suddenly saying my gmail is offline.
Logged out, cleared cache...etc
Works in safari..

Did os6 break something in chrome?

I don't know if iOS 6 has anything to do with it, but I often see those messages in the Gmail app for iOS and that was even on iOS 5. Regardless of the messages, the app and such worked just fine.
