Hey guys,

Sorry if this is not the right thread but this is my best guess as to where I should ask this. Basically my gmail account was hacked today and they erased everything. As soon as I saw that someone else was logged in I rushed to change password and log out all other users. Luckily, I had all my messages saved on my Mac in my mail app. Is there any way to move the messages back into Gmail now? Any help is greatly appreciated!

First, it's would be good to back up before trying anything, just to be safe.

If you set up your Gmail account with Mail, you should be able to drag all your messages to the server (into a label, the All Mail folder, etc.).

I'm not too familiar with mail app. How do you backup?
