Has anyone tried the updated mobile gmail site on a retina display? I've heard that it works and I've heard it doesnt.

I have a 3GS so no retina for me 🙁
 
You don't need a retina display to read e-mail. It looks pretty much exactly the same on the iPhone 4 as the old version.
