Gmail notifier help

I just downloaded gmail notifier for my mac and I noticed that it also came side by side with calendar and a notifier for it too. I notice when you download for windows its just the the gmail notifier. Any clues why it comes with the calendar?

Click on one of the icons in the menu bar and open up preferences. Go to the calendar tab and uncheck the 'Enable Google Calendar Notification'.
