Gmail Notifier not working?

Both GPeek and GMailInbox widgets are not working... (I don't run them both; just downloaded GMailInbox to see if it was a problem with GPeek). Logging in to GMail via Safari works fine, so I guess it must be a problem with their servers not recognising the cookies or whatever widgets use.

PC notifier is still working ... Mac is still not. I've just switched services, but i don't think that would effect the notifier (as everything else still works) especially since i don't seem to be alone here. .

Mine was working fine up until yesterday, when I found out there was that update (had been using the previous version quite happily). Haven't had it work quite right since then...
First, it wouldn't show any mail at all. Now, it will go back and forth between how many messages I have, and zero. It'll make it's noise when I get a new message, and I go to look, and yes, I got an email, but no, Gmail notifier still shows 0 email messages.
From there, it will make the 'new mail' sound every 5 minutes or so for the next two hours, when it will spontaneously stop making the noise, and for about an hour (or less), you can actually see how many new messages you have. And then it stops, and we go through the whole routine again. It's all rather fun.
Er, um, no. It's not. I had gotten pretty used to *not* opening up Safari to see if I had mail, and more importantly, seeing if it was mail worth reading...

It worked for like all of once a few hours ago Now it's back to dead. As nice as it is to see the inactive icon in my menu bar, it's almost frustrating to find hours old mail i didn't see because i kept forgetting gmail notifier doesnt work

Mine has been working fine, but I installed the update anyway. I tested it by sending myself a message from hotmail, and it worked. I don't mean to gloat, just to help those who are having trouble narrow down the cause. Good luck!

So my gmail notifier hasn't been working for a week at least. I just assumed I needed to update but have been too busy. But then last night my bf mentioned his Macbook Pro is having issues with Gmail notifier as well.
The weirdest part is that I can hear the tone when I get a new email, but nothing happens to the icon. I can only assume it has something to do with an update of some sort that interferes. Anyone found any fixes yet? This is really starting to be a bother.
