GMail on iOS... updated... bland...

The updated GMail app on iOS is pretty boring now.

I do like the new compact view. And it still functions well. But its visual style has regressed to boring white.

One does want a hint of color...

Not that I can see. Everything works the same.

I did notice that only the "Compact" view removes the colored circles on the left.

"Comfortable" and "Default" look the same as the old app.

But I miss the red bar at the top. Boring white is boring. 😛

I just got the update. I'm not seeing a way to disable the preview pane in landscape mode on the iPad.
