Gmail on macOS

Do you use Gmail, with macOS? If so, how do you have the account setup on macOS, via settings, or do you simply use a browser to access your email?

Also, what about your Contacts and Calendar items, from Gmail/Google?

I use Spark Mail at the moment. It's a great client, but not so privacy friendly. But the design and features are awesome.
