As of this past Saturday every message I send thru gmail with my iPhone running 3.1 winds up in my inbox unread instead of in my sent folder. Am I the only one experiencing this? It started when I was using the exchange push settings then I went back to standard gmail and it's still doing it. Is this a gmail problem or my phone. I have tried resetting re-adding my account everything short of a restore. Any help is appreciated.

Is it possible that you are getting a cc now and the message is also in the sent box?

When I tap sent mail on my phone the folder shows empty. I'm not near a computer to check if the sent messages are there. I'm sorry I don't know what cc is. In my mail settings "always bcc myself" is checked. What is that??

bcc is blind carbon copy, so you will get a copy of the email.

as the other guys said, bcc is blind carbon copy. You get a copy of the message sent to yourself (which explains why the message is in your inbox), but the other person you send the message won't know you sent it to yourself, hence the "blind" part.

Are you sure the messages aren't in your sent folder? You need to click on sent, and then wait. Your phone has to retrieve data from the gmail server for your sent messages to appear in that folder. Your sent messages don't download to your phone until you click on that folder, and it can take a while depending on your connection for the sent messages to appear there.
