Huh? You may have as many email accounts setup in Mail as you want. In mine, I currently have four. They are AOL, Gmail, .mac, and my cable modem provider.

You want to add a program to replicate the function of the Dock icon? Is is really that difficult to glance down at the Dock after Mail chimes its notification of new mail? Well, check VersionTracker.com for mail notification utilities.

Can you post a screen shot of your Mail sidebar? There must be an email somewhere.

Get growl, and install GrowlMail from the downloaded dmg's Extras folder.
