    hi all,

got a few problems using my mac mail, at the moment i have it linked to my gmail account however it keeps showing me that i have one mail unread in my inbox (it displays the "1" on the mail icon in the dock") however i have read all my emails but i cant get rid of this "1' on the icon any ideas?

also how do you get the notifcation to display on screen when a email is recieved? i dont get this i have to look at the dock icon to see if i have any new emails

    thanks!

Huh? You may have as many email accounts setup in Mail as you want. In mine, I currently have four. They are AOL, Gmail, .mac, and my cable modem provider.

You want to add a program to replicate the function of the Dock icon? Is is really that difficult to glance down at the Dock after Mail chimes its notification of new mail? Well, check VersionTracker.com for mail notification utilities.

Can you post a screen shot of your Mail sidebar? There must be an email somewhere.

Get growl, and install GrowlMail from the downloaded dmg's Extras folder.
