Gmail Up to 2gigs!

Gmail is still growing, the counter is still going up and I was at 2011MB just a min ago. They need to stop sometime right, maybe the infinity +1 wasn't a joke? :eek:

Yeah but you'd be better just using the save draft feature, attachments of upto 10MB will be saved online.

I am liking Gmail more and more by the min.

They said that they were going to double everyones storage to 2gigs but that would not be the limit. It will continue growing as they can provide more space. It is a non-stop effort. Thats pretty awesome. I have 50 Gmail invites and I feel as though I should start dishing them out, because it really is a great service. I havent used anything else since it started up.

Increased compatibility with Safari is nice as well.
 
anybody want to hook a completely random dude (me) up with a gmail account? just thought i'd ask.
 
At this rate, Gmail will be at 3 GB by the end of the year (right at 9 months actually), if you time their current counter. I wonder how far it's going to go in the end. I have 2052MB right now.

That is the wall you are hitting right now. You have to remember that 1 Gigabyte of storage actually translates to 1024MB or 1073741824 bytes.
 
Everyones should be at 2053 also. If you look at the counter on the login page it is still going up, now I know this doesn't actually mean anything (it's just a javascript for "effect"), but it looks like the whole infinity+1 thing may not have been a joke! The rate of growth seems to have slowed down a LOT, but it still continues to grow.

Course, I'm only using 70MB of my space anyway :eek:

...nice to know it's there though ;) :D

Well smack :eek: me :eek: naked :eek: and hide my clothes . Will it ever end??? I hope not. Although I am in the same boat. I am only using 26MB.
 
I personally always use Hotmail for my junk email accounts.

The reason I do is....
It costs Microsoft money to support my junk mail.... And I never use the accounts or read the mail and especially never click on any of the banners. So they don't make a dime from me ;)
 
im at 2055 right now in my one account that i checked, i wonder how far it will go, surely it has to end somewhere right??
 
Mine's at 2061MB.

Someone who turned the PC clock a bit forward discovered that it stopped at 2075MB... but who knows. Maybe Google will just keep increasing it :D
 
Gmail even higher

My Gmail seems to be growing at a fast rate on the login page, but slower when I login.

I'm up to 2073mb too. I like that they're giving us more and more space.. but I went from using 6% to 3% of my space! It took me so long to get that percentage, too.

I don't understand why they don't just bump up your account when you need it, on an intuitive basis.
