What GMail users CAN’T do is create folders so they can take their entire AI riddled website and keep it.

Nah, they need more data than paying customers can produce, so they prefer to open the eavesdropping facility for free. Of course, we pay otherwise.
 
Coming from Google that is very creepy. What could possible go wrong, if Google analyzes your emails.
 
Free until it becomes yet another subscription fee in order to keep using the formerly "free" features after people get used to using them. Another example of "en********ation" as described by Cory Doctorow.

Oh, you WILL pay. It just won’t be in dollars and cents. But you will pay. AI extracts its pound of flesh from everyone. And that goes double for any product from Google.
 
Not sure how much privacy is being lost by using these AI features. For now I have turned off 'Smart Features'.

The problem isn’t that much if we use it or stop using it, but also many professionals use Gmail as their email service. And everything we send to them will be scrutinized and “learned” by their AI.

What a mess of world we are building…
 
save yourself from big brother and support privacy respecting alternatives. Proton, Tuta, and hopefully Fastmail
