gmail won't forward the email

has anyone tried to forward their gmail to their new @me email address? i keep getting a delivery status notification email saying:550 550 5.1.1unknown or illegal alias

No, I have they same problem. I can send and receive messages from my me account fine, but I cannot send a message from my gmail to me account, it just bounces back and I get an error.

now i'm getting a message - the connection to the outgoing server p07-smtp.mail.me.com failed
