I use Gmail, it's brilliant, and I have it working in Mail which is great, basically, I have a constant backup online of all of my emails.

Other than that, I use Hotmail for junk stuff.

I answered Mac Mail, meaning the OS X Mail client, then realised that it probably meant Dot Mac Mail.

i use dot mac mail and my school's mail-sorta have to. Any one know how to configure it work with mail.app

I use .Mac and Gmail for general email and school stuff, but I also have a Hotmail account so I can chat with my friends.

My primary would be one specific gmail address. But I do have other gmail accounts, hotmail, and yahoo. And dotmac.

I have Gmail, and I have it coming through Mail.app. I also have Yahoo, which I use for sites I'm not sure will spam me, Hotmail (that I never use and there's nothing in it due to that idiotic "we'll delete all your stuff if you don't log in within a month" thing), AOL mail, which I only use for iTunes purchases, and quite a few others that I never use/forgot I had.

I have all sorts, but I really only use my free ISP-supplied account. Super fast, IMAP support, webmail support, God-knows-how-much storage space.

my main account is yahoo, but i'm slowly starting to transition all my outgoing mail using gmail. some people send me mail to yahoo and some to gmail. it's all the same, though, as i manage all my mail through mail.app.

I've been using Gmail for as long as I can remember. Fast, convenient, instant messaging built right in, and the web filters at work can't block it without blocking Google, so most of my colleagues use it as well. And it's Google! - I fully admit to being a Google fanboi. :p

What is so great about gmail? I have an account, but I get spammed all the time, I hate the interface, and It never revceives anything sent to it!(except SPAM of course!)

Gmail sucks.

Go Excite (For school buddies) and Yahoo (For non-school stuff)

Gmail to the top BUT

Only after they started having that facility to login as recent:<username>

Before this only one shot at pop access made it unseable for me :(

This was I can keep all my mail including the sent items synced between Powerbook, PC and Online
