Hi there,

I've used an external hard drive to clone my MacBook Pro in the past. Since then I've had my system create a folder called "System" on this hard drive, although Mac OS X is no longer installed there. Is there any way I can have it stop?

Regards,
FRKT.

It could be there are some hidden files and folders left on the disk that is causing your system to think that there is a Mac OS X installation on the drive. Mac OS X creates a number of these such as sbin and mach_kernel. You can use something like TinkerTool to reveal these files and delete them. Hope that helps.

Bingo. Deleted with Terminal. Thanks!
