From what it sounds like you are not in the US (hence the 25th of March date). I wouldn't be surprised if Apple lets people outside the US pre-order since the release date is later.

I say go have a good time with your mates, and order it online and either bring it with you to show them (if it arrives early enough) or have it waiting at home when you get back.

Take it with you. Show your friend the new toy and might even persuade them to get one.

Then you can both spend evenings with your iPads messing around!

win/win

Go play with the iPad2 when you're not around people. If have the opportunity to be people and socialize. The iPad 2 isn't going anywhere

I say do what you want. If you want to spend the night with your new iPad, do it. You can see your friends another night. If you decide you want to go out with your friends, do that.

I have plans with my girlfriend Friday night. I already warned her that I'll probably be ignoring her for most of it while I play with my iPad 2 :D

and on Saturday perhaps you'll get to start shopping for Girlfriend 2.0... :D

People are overrated.

Spend the time pampering yourself by going on a date with yourself, get the iPad, go to a nice lunch or dinner, then retreat to the comfort of your home and snuggle with the iPad and pets.

At least you can turn off the tech when it annoys you. You can't do that with people.

Go out with your friends. Take the iPad with you and show them if you want to bring it along :)

WOW! You must be really popular for your friends having to make plans with you 3 weeks in advance!!

Friendship is overrated: the iPad is eternal.

Just kidding. :)

However, the thought of friends passing around my new iPad and dropping or scratching it before I got some extended play time makes me cringe. I'd leave it at home.
