I had an Air and went pro (well I’ve gone back and forth between pro and Air at different times). Honestly, the ONLY thing that frustrated me with the Air was lack of Face ID. It’s pretty silly, but the Touch ID on the Air and base models are just awkward depending on how you position your iPad, and when I was paying bills and various things I found myself just getting annoyed with having to reach up at some odd angle and touch the button.

For my uses though, I could easily get away with an Air, and likely a base model. My only beef about the base model is the way the keyboard is. I much prefer my pro keyboard.

Yeah, lack of FaceID is my main gripe with the iPad Air. I'm not at all bothered by the 60 Hz LCD.
