Go to first result in Spotlight when return is pressed

Hey,
I was wondering if there is any way to make Spotlight automatically open the first search result when return is pressed, instead of opening up the full-blown Spotlight search window.

Can't you just hit the down arrow to move to the top hit?

It's just faster to be able to type in a few letters and press return, similar to the search function in Vista.

you press command+return, and it'll open the first item in the list. have a nice day. 🙂
