Ever wanted a shortcut to go to "/" in finder?

Now there is one: here or from the attachments below.

Install:
1. Unzip the downloaded file

2. Double-click the extracted file

3. Click "Install"

4. Click "Done"

5. Go to :apple:>System Preferences>Keyboard>Shortcuts>Services

6. Tick the box for "gotoslash"

7. Click on "gotoslash"

8. Click on "add shortcut"

9. Press the key combo you want to use to go to the "/" directory

10. Done!

"Like" if I helped ;)

You do know you can just put your hard drive in the Finder's sidebar and then click it to go to "/"?
Or press Command + Shift + G, type / and then hit Return?

Yeah... But I'm lazy :) And I prefer using the keyboard as opposed to the mouse

Vroom Vroom! New version!

I have re-worked the way it goes to "/" (No Cmd+Shift+G EVER!)

Consider the following:

  1. Takes Less time
  2. Multi-Tab Support!
  3. No Finder resize!
  4. Works Entirely using AppleScript "Keystroke" and "Key Down/Up" (No more weird applescript+automator combinations!)

Yes, there is one small change with installation instead of "GotoSlash" it is "GotoSlash2"

It's time again! Version 2.0.1 is here!
This is a minor update with some speed improvements. Installing (and upgrading) is even easier than before! It's as simple as:
  1. Download
  2. Extract the downloaded file
  3. Run the file called "GotoSlashInstall"
Download HERE
