Just wondering if it's possible to play that game on the iPhone...it was released in 2007 for other cell phones. Is there any possible way for us to play it on our iDevice?

No J2ME executors for iOS, I'm afraid, and particularly not ones capable of running a side-scroller like this one.
BTW, there are several native platform games like this for iOS; for example, the 2D versions of Prince of Persia.
