about 5 weeks ago I switched from an iphone 13 pro to an iphone 14 pro.

Now, I want to go back to using my old iphone 13 pro.

When I switched, i just set up the 14 from the 13, and then turned off the 13.

I did not wipe the 13 - it still has apps, photos etc up to date 5 weeks ago.

I want all the photos, texts, emails and app data from the last 5 weeks to go to the old phone.

What is the best way to do that?

If i just turn on the old 13 will it get everything i want from icloud (assuming 14 has been synced)?

The camera on the 14 pro does not work well - that's why i am going back to my 13.

Only you can determine if "all the data" is synced to iCloud or not. It may be dependent on the app. An app may have a setting to use iCloud.

If you determine "all the data" is synced to iCloud, then iPhone 13 should sync the data. If "all the data" is not synced to iCloud, then you would need to backup your iPhone 14 using iCloud Backup or local to a computer. Then use Erase All Contents and Settings on the iPhone 13, set up as new and restore from iCloud Backup or using the backup on the computer.

thanks

do i actually need to erase the old phone, or can i restore on top of what's there?

the reason is i am hoping to keep the cellular setup, because i have had trouble in the past with getting a new phone to work on my carrier (att) without going to the store and asking them to do it.
