Going caseless, what's the best insurance?

Bought the otterbox defender but was really disappointed with it, and after removing the case it's clear to me how much better the experience is (especially with this particular iPhone) caseless. With Applecare+,$99 basically means I can go naked with the phone, and if 'life' happens, I'm out another 50 clams to get a brand new phone (which would probably then be cased haha). That versus a Lifeproof whenever it comes out for probably 70 bucks and deal with a much less sensitive touchscreen experience and in turn, a much worse experience overall.

There are no apple stores in my area, but believe that Best buy has an official apple area that sells all things apple including applecare+. I've also read that Best buy has it's own insurance independent of where the phone was purchased (I bought mine from Verizon).

Are there others that I have't mentioned? Scratches and scuffs I couldn't care less about, I just want to protect myself against if I drop it and the screen goes to hell, or it gets wet, etc. Right now the phone is still perfect condition, and I know I need to have it examined before I can buy whatever insurance so I'd like to go ahead and get it done...

Will probably go with some sort of full body protection like zagg by the way. Not LOOKING for problems...

Thanks for any advice

I bought AT&T insurance. It's like $7 a month (if I remember correctly).

The big bonus is it also covers loss/theft!

The down side is the "deductible" is more than AppleCare. Around $199 I think (but again, I could be wrong.. check with them).

ZAGG Full Body

I had iphone 4 before and discovered ZAGG full body shield protector. It is basically a clear film for front and back of your iPhone.

I have it for my iPhone 5 now and I love it :). I hate those cases as they defeat the purpose of having iPhone 5 in the first place.

I certainly will try not to drop it, but what do you mean? that would be covered by them unless I completely misunderstood

AT&T is a waste on an iPhone.

$7/mo and $199 deductible.

Getting a replacement through the Genius Bar without Applecare+/ out of warranty is only $229. Why waste the $7/mo? Unless you are that afraid of theft/loss... it is a ripoff.

I'm much more likely to lose it (or get it stolen) than break it. I'm pretty careful.

Also, my company pays for the service and insurance anyway so it was a no brainer. :)

Going completely naked with my 5. That's why I purchased AppleCare +.
I've always gone with minimal protection on all my iPhones, a nice thin SGP case with 3 and 3GS was nice. And a leather skin on 4 and 4S. But I can't find anything that can work with my new black 5.
