Hey guys i was wondering if upgrading from a iPhone 6s plus to a 2nd gen iphone X would i see a great speed boost also will i get better battery life compared to my 6s Plus. Please write back. I would appreciate it. Thanks

According to Geekbench the A11 in the iPhone X is roughly 2.5x faster. I have the X and it is snappier compared to my iPhone 6s. On occasion my 6s would lag here and there and that doesn’t happen with the X. Though with iOS 12 that might actually get resolved with the 6s.

I had a iPhone 3G and the original iPad and those things became unusable. My 6s was never like that.

But to answer your question, yes you should see a speed improvement with the iPhone 2018 X. Animations will be faster and smoother. Battery life for me is better coming from the iPhone 6s but for you, you may need to go to the plus size X to see an improvement in battery life. But rumoured screen on the iPhone X at 6.5” is gonna be BIG :) lol!

The 6S uses the A9 processor, where as the iPhone X would use the A12 presumably, so that gives you any idea of generations of how much iPhones have improved speed, you would notice a *significant* difference, being iPhones do progressively become faster every year.

Also, “Better battery life” is the most subjective thing to say on a tech forum. No one will _ever_ experience the same battery life, it depends on your usage and settings.

The biggest speed bump I've noticed was going from a 6+ to a 6s+. Then I went to an 8+ which was a noticeable speed bump but not as much as the 6+ to 6s+. So, yeah you'll definitely have a good speed boost, usually going ahead 3 generations like you have will be very noticeable. My 8+ is without a doubt the smoothest phone I've ever used and 10 months later, still smooth as new.

Relentless Power is right - battery life is completely subjective. If you read webpages and books all day you'll have different battery life than someone who plays Vainglory all day in the sun with 1 bar of reception. Batteries have been shrinking with the phones but in my experience, 8+ gets better battery than my 6s+ did.

I went from a 6S to an X and the speed bump was noticeable but, it was less of a jump I saw going from the 5S to the 6S... Phones are getting very good at aging so the speed boosts will be less noticeable. I kept my 6S as a backup and it still performs very well for everything I need a phone for. I’m sure you’ll see a nice improvement going from your 6S+ to the 2nd gen X.

It will definitely be a speed and industrial design upgrade. Now, the question is whether that update is worth whatever money Apple wants from you.

I went from 6 to the 8+ in Sept AND the X in mid Nov last year and the speed was like night and day. Battery life much improved as expected between an old 6 and a new 8+/X

I did return the X in early Jan. - Selling the 8+, I would take a big loss of money even on a 7 week mint condition phone, But "test driving" the X was nice...but I simply liked a larger phone. I read the early rumors of a X Plus, larger X, so I figured I'd return for the full refund, keep the 8+ wait for the X Plus - and it looks like that is happening (prepare to take more of my $$$ Apple  )

(XS, X Plus...whatever it will be called) coming out, it will even be faster. The upgrade will feel absolutely amazing for you. Personally I liked the slight learning curve for the new X last year, As for the "notch" --- yeah I HATED IT when I first saw the design as did many others, but seriously after using it in the first few hours, I forgot it was even there. Thats just me
