Hello,

I will be going for a trip around many places and I currently have tmobile 30$ plan (100 min talk/ 5 gb data.)

I have checked the international coverage - the places that I am going mostly have the coverage.

My question is, Is it possible to buy another sim card in tmobile store, activate it and use it for a month while I'm traveling? But when I come back to just get rid of this sim card and come back to my 30$ plan?

Thank you all

You can switch your sim card out for another T-Mobile one at any time, but your original sim card will still cost you $30 for the month, even if you don't use it.

From a technical point of view, yes. I've got the impression that a lot of carriers will charge you extra abroad whether or not you're on a contract - and that plan you've linked to doesn't explicitly mention roaming that I can see.

Found this page: https://explore.ee.co.uk/roaming/t-mobile/japan

I think we may need somebody with more experience of travelling with a phone to comment on the matter. It'll work, but I don't know if it'll end up costing what you'd expect.
