Tomorrow I should receive my 64 GB kit from OWC for my 8 core nMP. I'm hoping to get a rebate for my current 32GB. I never ever expected that I would need this much ram, but I am processing huge satellite images ( 40 cm spatial resolution ) and am having to spend extra time fiddling around to make up for not having sufficient core space.
I could actually use 128 GB but just can't afford it now.
Anyone out there running 128 ?

There's a person in this thread with 256 GB:

Yikes ! If you need it, there is no substitute for RAM POWER !

Said by a guy (me ) who bought his wife a new 5K IMac w/16 GB and ordered an additional 16, but gave that to his son for Xmas 😕
A last minute Xmas eve scramble.

I have one that I bought with 8GB, and bought a 16GB upgrade, and now I'm at 24GB.
