Going to back SL from Lion - can I restore from a Lion TM backup?

As the title says, Lion's given me no joy whatsoever so I've reinstalled Snow Leopard on a partition. My plan was to move the files across that way then delete Lion, but it would be a lot easier if I could keep all my settings by just making a Time Machine backup of Lion and restore it to that in Snow Leopard.

Would that give any problems? I assume it could run into issues when attempting to restore Lion applications such as the new Mail/Photobooth etc.

    Cheers.

    EDIT:
Had a look through the first few pages but didn't see anything asking this question. Dug a bit deeper after posting and found a few posts talking about, saying a TM backup won't work.

Question is, is it possible to migrate over all my settings? I tried Migration Assistant, and it said as the drive I was trying to copy from had a newer OS, it wouldn't work.

Don't do it - I did and it was nothing but problems. Restore to your most recent Snow Leopard backup if you can.
