Ok i am going to be buying an iPhone 4S and sending it over seas, now do i just go in the apple store or would i have to order online in order for it to be unlocked? Also i am wondering the 3g bands wouldnt work with the carriers over there correct?

Unlocked phones will be available "in November" officially. Reports are that if you buy an off-contract phone now it will not be locked, but if you want that to be officially sanctioned/supported best wait.

Well i think because of it just being released. But usually you can just walk into the apple store and the ones they sale there are unlocked.
