Going To China With Iphone

I have a JB 3G. Unfortunately, it is the latest BB, so not unlockable.

I will go to China for a month. Friends there tell me I can get a GSM Data Capable SIM with about 1GB of usage prepaid for about $28.

If I purchase one of the Turbo Unlocking SIMS on ebay, and then get the data SIM in China, should I be good to go?

Any suggestions on the best Turbo SIM to buy?

Try downgrading the baseband using the cydia package, and then see if you can use yellowsn0w to unlock the phone.

You can't use another SIM card from another carrier unless you unlock, I recommend you to follow jmann's direction for unlock.

You have to know the data type, you better hope it's not GPRS. How about just blocking data and use Wi-Fi?
