Hello all,

I want to go ahead and reformat my leopard installation by doing a clean install. I've been a Mac user for only a few weeks so I need a little guidance.

From what I can see, all I need to backup is:

1. My User Folder (exclude the user Library folder)
--With backing and restoring, this will preserve all iphoto, itunes music, docs etc... right?
2. I have all my download installs in my Downloads folder.

My question is,

Is there anything obvious that i'm missing? I was wondering about Keychains, is this necessary to backup?

If you plan on reinstalling all your applications then you should be good. There are some system files in /system/library that some apps will be sing, but you should be fine with your user folder. The user folder will contain your downloads btw.
