Going to look at a 15" MacBook Pro, worth 750?

I am going tonight to look at a mid 2012 MacBook Pro for 750 bucks tonight, he has just the charger and laptop, no box to go with it, I ran the serial and here's the specs it came up as, it's also still under warranty till 2014

Imho definitely worth the money... Just look at cosmetic condition and check for clicking from the hdd. Also look for dead pixels or any sounds when you shake it (not too hard!).

You have had a lucky find!

He says its in great condition cosmetically and mechanically, no scratches I scuffs

Oh I just realized that, I thought it was a mid 2012, the newer the better

Agree...I would really want to understand why he is selling so cheap, what the history is? How did he acquire it? Original purchase receipt? why no box? etc

Don't know the seller, he sounds like a fairly nice guy tho, not shady or anything, and I know he's older because he said something about his wife to me
 
I would be a little wary - mega cheap deal, and he's only got the laptop and charger. Just go into it with your eyes open!

Will do, I wrote up a bill of sale I'll surpise him with if it makes a difference or not, anyway I'm not sure if I said the specs above or not but it has a 500gb hard drive and 4gb of ddr3, just sayin

Lol no hate but we are meeting in STARBUCKS.... Cause I think they have wall outlets, the guy says worse comes the worse he took a picture of it charging just in case they dont

Oh yeh... I'll update this with pics when I get it or if I get it, I'm leavin here in about 20 minutes when my brother gets home, lets hope I don't get in a car accident with 800 bucks in my pocket
 
Try and find out a reason for the sale & try and find out where he got it from originally! Meeting in a coffee shop is better for peace of mind I guess!

Yeh, forgot about the thread last night, crazy night lol, anyway I met up with the guy outside of star bucks, he looked like he was a hoodlum that lived off the system, gauges in his ear, piercing through the center of his nose and just straight weird, but I couldn't resist the price, got it for 670, the thing was in immaculate shape, looked brand new, but anyway I went to a car show after and shortly listed it on Craig's with no pics for 1200, some guy called and said he could meet me right now so I had him meet me at the car show and I got 1180 for it, lol! Not bad cash for just flipping a MacBook like that, just about 500 bucks

Obviously stolen. Hope it doesn't come back to bite you....handling stolen goods is a criminal offence in the UK.

I have a bill of sale from the 1st guy, and the 2nd guy doesn't know anything about me, and I'm in the US
