Going to UK on the 26th (iPhone 4 help)

OK, I'm going to head to Bristol & London next Saturday. I've never taken a phone internationally (heck, this is my first time travelling internationally). Do I just go to a local 02 wireless and ask them for a pay as you go micro sim?😕
