So the quality for DVI isn't working out for me, so before I go through the headache of trying to sell this TV, I was going to see if VGA is any better. I have the mini-DVI-to-DVI adapter, so what cable would I need to go from that to VGA? Cause I see multiple ones with different pin counts.

The DVI that comes out of the Mini-DVI to DVI adapter is DVI-D, which does not contain the VGA signal. Instead, you need the Mini-DVI to VGA adapter.
