A lot of watches have had gold faces or bodies with brown leather wristbands for a very, very long time. I don't think you are up on your color theory.

It's different when they are within the same palette.

The Apple ones don't appear to be. Doesn't matter that much anyways as the case almost entirely covers up the "gold" color anyhow. ;)

I agree that it is silly to cover up the gold phone with an opaque case. Get a clear case like the Luvvitt. I have it and it's great.

You may have a point. The pallets could be aligned better, but I think the difference in material allows for some wiggle room.

Personally, I think the brown case is one of the best options for the gold phone.

It's not like the gold phone costs more, or anybody else is going to care or notice.

The leather will likely feel much better in hand and be easier to grip.

Clear cases look pretty nasty to some people. Looks like the kind of thing they'd use in a store to prevent people from stealing it. A pretty big drawback just to show off that you got the gold model, which costs the same, through some cheap plastic?

Actually it doesn't look like cheap plastic. You actually have to look closely to see that it even has a case no it. I don't need to show it off to other people. I like looking at it. I assume you got gold because you like the color, so covering it all up seems silly to me. But, whatever floats your boat.

I didn't get gold, or 5S/C at all ;)

My 4S has a very thin Moshi black back + silver sides silicone case that's very soft and smooth to the touch, while being very thin. It's not the best protection, but it doesn't slip from my hands as often, especially with gloves on.:D
