Looking at the Apple Store it appears the ceramic Apple Watch is the new "Edition" model with the gold being discontinued. Is Apple leaving the high-end Watch market?

Wise move on their part. This will appeal to a wider range of consumers with the lower price point.

To be honest the Gold Edition was a bit far fetched, possibly even just a publicity stunt to make people talk about the Watch.

The gold edition seemed to disappear months ago.

I like ceramic watches - I had a Rado before my Space Black SS watch. But the point of ceramics is longevity and I'm not sure how relevant that is with an electronic device like the watch that has a finite life span.

Surprised they aren't offering to swap the internals with the S2 (like the Series 1 watch as it'll now be known as)... maybe they will reach out to the (20 or so) people who purchased Editions directly? :D

That'd be a joke to those people. They're the type who go on a $30,000 shopping spree on a lazy weekday and think nothing of it.
