Gold not hot this year?

I ordered the gold. I think it looks classy with the white. I would have gotten an all black one if they had it, but they don't, and the space gray one looks like crap.

Space Grey looks understated but elegant, Gold looks more edgy and interesting to me. Also, I prefer the white front with iOS 7-8, and Silver has become the most boring, muted looking option. All personal preference, though.

I have a gold 5s but have gone for the silver 6 plus. Was tempted with space grey tho for a time. The gold looks horrendous... the white bands on the back are a major turn off.

I got the gold 6+. Space Gray just looks sooooo boring to me. I actually like the white bands on the gold. Yeah, they stand out more, but they also look more like a deliberate design decision. Like they wanted those lines to be there from the start and they match the white bezel. On the grey and silver models, the bands look more like an "ooops, how are we going to hide this mess? Let's try to camouflage them and hope nobody notices...". As a result, I notice them way more on the gray/silver back than the gold. Funny how the mind works.

I am a bit concerned that the gold 6+ might look too much like a tacky gold brick when I get it. But that's what cases are for and I don't see myself using it naked. With the right case and color, I have a feeling that the gold has much more potential to stand out and look cool than silver or gray. Cobolt or egyptian blue, royal purple, ruby red, black or even green could look really stunning with gold accents. I do agree though, the gold 5S looks a lot more classy when naked than the 6/6+ does.

Was going to go for gold but I decided to play it safe and stick with grey. I always like the black ones it's usually the white on the front I don't like to be honest.

Everyone wants the new thing. Last year gold was the must have because it was the new kid on the block. Now the 6+ is the new hot ticket due to it's elusive size.

In my opinion... 5S gold > 6 gold

I went with gold this time because I've not had one, but if I get it and hate it, I'll return and change to silver.

I would say the gold iPhone is actually closer to rose gold in color than yellow gold.

That's how I feel about it. I don't like yellow gold jewelry, but something attracts me to the iPhone gold. It's different. I went with it this time around.

same, I wish they'd go all out and just make it rose gold but I feel like they left it as a sort of champagne gold in order to make it appeal to both yellow gold and rose gold fans.

I got silver because I've always had black phones and wanted something different. I probably would have gotten space gray if the back was really dark like in some of the mockup renders but I just don't like the black with the gray.

Love the gold... the champagne/rose color rocks and IMO the antenna lines are just a part of the phone. I also like the space grey but would be more worried about scratching.

I don't think gold looks as good on the 6/6+ as it does on the 5s. Too much gold and the white contrasting bands didn't help.
