So, this is completely a first world problem post, but here goes:

I’ve purchased every iPhone since the iPhone 4. Each one was black/space gray except the 5S (gold) and the X (silver) because I generally prefer the black front. Now all the phones have black fronts. I REALLY like the gold 12 Pro. I like that the back is a muted cream/pink and the sides are a nice yellow gold. I currently have the graphite 12 Pro, but kind of want to break my norm.

My hesitation is picking the gold and disliking it after 8 or 9 months. I intend to break the cycle and keep this phone for 2 years. I loved my 5S gold for its entirety of ownership, but when I bought the iPhone X, I ended up wishing I had the space gray after about 8-9 months. Not to mention I’m all about matching color schemes. My wallet, iPad Pro, Apple Watch, EarPods, Mac and Apple TVs are all black/space gray. Being it’s the only color you can get across the majority of apple products is a factor too.

Anyone else usually go with a specific color and decided to switch it up this year or in the past? What was your experience? Did you end up regretting it? Of course the final decision is up to me, but I’m just looking for some insight from others :)

If you like the gold, then get it. It's definitely a unique character with the shiny yellow gold frame. Apple tends to play around with the gold hue on every new iPhone, so if you really dig the yellow gold, get it now. Apple might do a different kind of gold on iPhone 13.

Personally, I dig the silver one.

Currently I have a matte black 7+, and a black Galaxy A71. My next phone will definitely be something more colorful, preferably white or red.

That is a good point. It’s funny; my favorite color is blue, but Im not very intrigued by the PB 12 pro. Any and all jewelry I get is always silver. Yet, that gold iPhone is talking to me. Lol

I think you have see them in person. I was debating between the different colors too, so I went to my local apple store to see them. They all look a bit different than on pictures. I decided for silver because It was the one that caught my attention the most.

In my opinion, you can't go wrong with any color of the Pro. They all are simply stunning.

I’ve looked at them maybe 5x in store. Haha I know if I stick with graphite I won’t grow tired of the color, but I do think it would be nice to break the norm. Gold definitely grabs my eye every time I’m in there.

I went for midnight green on my 11 PM last year, but within a month or so, I got bored with green, and I knew the same thing would happen again if I go for Pacific Blue this year.

Therefore, I chose Silver this year, and my cape cod polish is ready to do some magic on a naked 12 PM.

I ordered the gold 12Pro because I have the SS Gold watch and they match perfectly. The gold 12 Pro is a polished stainless steel unlike the aluminum gold watches and phone which don't look like gold jewelry because they are have a dull anodized finish.
