Haha, looks nice though. Probably a bit too shiny for my tastes, but there are plenty of people out there that like "blinging" things up :rolleyes:
 
Well to be fair i sprayed the phone chasis with a laquar to protect the gold, i stripped the phone right down to its chasis and plated then coated.

I do not have any signal problem at all
 
Yeah i had an idea of making a clear iphone so you could see all the parts but the middle chasis is pretty sold but the back would be pretty cool

I really dont know what its called, but i got it in a sound pack i bought when i was doing a video project last year. If you want the file ill be more then happy to send it to you. Just pm me. Its royality free too
 
how much did doing something like this cost you, and what equipment did you use? very interesting project.
 
Here we have an iphone 4 which has been 24k gold plated the polished, we then added a white lcd and retina display we also gold plated the camera bezel at the back.

:rofl: i bet some dumb **** will pay $2k for this
 
please do post a guide. even if i don't do this, it'd be great to see your steps. i just worry about how the gold will tarnish/lacquer will wear off
