I went from a G5 to a MBP 17inch to a iMac now. While I do love my MBP, I never remove it from my desk. 30 inch Dell LCD hooked up, multiple Hard Drives, it looks like something from the Matrix. I was mostly using the MBP for Logic Pro, and bootcamp for Games. I do 3D visual effects for work so I don't think I will need a Mac Pro since I like to leave my work at work. I wanted something that would perform decent with Maya/Vray/Nuke if I needed it at home, but I am mostly looking forward to using a lower latency setting with Logic. The only thing that has me crying is no express port for my UAD card. Looking forward to removing the midi-controller under the racks so the iMac display can sit lower. Hopefully selling the Laptop/Dell Display/UAD card will offset my purchase a little. I do hope I can play L4D2 in windows 7 at native res with max settings. Between L4D2 and Ultima Online, those are the only games I really care about.
