I have my late 2015 imac for a week now. It's my first mac, and coming from using windows for ˜20 years is definitely giving me a reason for a learning curve.
My PC is a power house, but i wanted to upgrade it so i thought wth? i'll get a 5k imac and give it a go. Don't get me wrong, i don't swim in money, i had to make some holes in order to get it, but it's totally worth it.
It's dead silent (i only hear my 2 external HDDs), it doesn't get hot (i only saw the GPU going at 96* once, while testing Dirt3 in 5k resolution at Ultra settings).
The display is absolutely gorgeous. At the first look, it seems ok - definitely an improvement but not a game changer. You can really tell when you are going back to a regular display (i use a 1920x1200 Samsung monitor). The difference is HUGE - the screen is so blurry that i thought there is something wrong with my vision.
I can only say good things about this machine. I'm posting this because i want to share a good experience.
