    Hey everyone.

Does anyone know of a good, free XML editor?

I found an old topic from 2005 about this, but the suggestions either required a purchase or were absolute overkill (like Eclipse.... wow....no).

I would prefer it not to be a Java application, because those are slow and look like poo.

I know that TextEdit can be used, but I'd like one that can at least highlight the tags. It would be nice if it could perform checks, too.

I also tried googling around, but I didn't find what I needed.

    Smultron any good?

Cocoa with syntax highlighting. And free.

I second that vote. Nice straightforward GUI for viewing XML documents. Thanks for the link!

I use Smultron routinely and it works great, and looks great, and never gives me a bit of trouble.
