Good front/back protection without a bumper

So are 3rd party manufacturers making good front and back protection?

The bumper is ok, but I fear for huge scratches every time I put it in my pocket, etc. I'd love to just not use the bumpers and have good protection (Invisible Shield is meh).

The bumper kind of sucks because I can't use my Griffin car-charger, have to do that dremel trick. 🙄
