i am looking for good headphones that are better than the normal ipod earphones. in ear is fine. the price can't exceeed 40 dollars. (im only 15, can't afford those bose ones on my own)😀 so any suggestions? i have no brand preference. and not being good looking won't be a deal breaker but def. a plus if possible.

Well what kind you want? In ear or old skool? I just got a pair of sennheiser 300cx(?) I think thats what theyre called. Anyway theyre in ear and they were about 40 bucks. Check em out on amazon. Also I have a pair of sony studio monitors I got for about 50 on there as well. I really like em. Sorry don't have the model number with me at the moment but I like sony's and sennheisers. Shure's are also good but like Sennheiser can be pricy.

I just got a pair of Sennheiser pmx-60 's. Great and fairly well balanced, if thats important for you. Bass is a little less than I'd like for my workout/casual listening headphones. Very comfortable as well.

I hear the new in ear headphones apple just announced are supposed to be great, although i'm slightly skeptical that a $70 headphone set is going to over deliver.

thanks everyone! i have used skullcandy headphones before and the sound was good but they weren't that durable. so ill go for the sennhieser or the sony.🙂

Go for the Sennheisers CX300. Decent sound, 2-year decent warranty.

Beware of over cheap fakes.

For great lightweight, excellent sounding and reasonable priced headphones, nothing beats the Sennheiser PX100.

For earbuds I have and can recommend the Shure SE210.
