Hello, I am interested in mechanical design. I have searched the web and have found no good mechanical CAD software/nor have I heard of any. I am willing to spend $150 at max. Please make some recommendations. Thanks! - Blake
2D or 3D? Google sketchup is free. If you want decent 2d cad, most people use parallels or bootcamp and run windows software. The market just isn't that large for companies to develop specific OSX cad software (especially as windows continues to improve).
I am looking for 3d not 2d. I have tried sketchup but us not precise enough. As for running Windoze I would like something native to te mac.
Try these out... Try these, spend the extra $100 for the bundle. http://www.turbocad.com/TurboCAD/TurboCADMac/TurboCADMacDeluxev5/TurboCADMacDeluxe5Bundle/tabid/1632/Default.aspx http://www.turbocad.com/TurboCAD/TurboCADMac/TurboCADMacDeluxev5/tabid/1515/Default.aspx?gclid=CMPaj9KIraECFQohDQodCzXM-g
